Established in 1999, Emmanuel Family Day Care was born out of my heartfelt desire to have an occupation that pleases God and serves Him. After seeking His guidance and praying for direction, I received a vision through a dream. This vision included the entire setup of the school and its name, EMMANUEL FAMILY DAY CARE, which means “GOD WITH US.”
Firstly, Emmanuel offers a unique, warm, and caring environment with special attention to our children’s needs. Additionally, our education program is designed to foster growth in early childhood development. As a Christian Academy, we teach children about the love of Jesus, emphasizing that He loves us. Moreover, they learn essential values such as manners, kindness, respect for others and themselves, love and care for one another, self-belief, and teamwork.
Furthermore, Emmanuel is a school that firmly believes in the importance of history, encapsulated in our motto: PEOPLE WITHOUT A HISTORY WILL PERISH. Consequently, we educate our children about their heritage, including African ancestry, slavery, and notable African American achievers of the past and present. Our hope and goal are to lay a strong foundation at the beginning of their learning journey, enabling them to reach their full potential and become productive adults that God intends for them to be in our community and society.
Our children learn with love and dignity in their hearts, and they are taught to be consistent in all their endeavors. The Bible teaches us, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). From year to year, while the faces of the children may change, the love in my heart remains constant.
